The National regresa después de 4 años con Sleep Well Beast, su séptimo álbum de estudio.

Este LP fue producido por Aaron Dessner (guitarrista de la banda) con la colaboración de Bryce Dessner (también guitarrista del grupo) y Matt Berninger, vocalista de The Nationa.

Este material incluye los destacados sencillos “Day I Die”, “Carin at the Liquor Store”, “Guilty Party” y “The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness”.
